Conclusion

Abstract

It should be no surprise to pharmaceutical scientists and engineers that they work in an arena of complex multivariate phenomena which require costly and time-consuming efforts to monitor, understand, predict, and control. Indeed, it might be argued that an outcome of this small volume is to state the obvious. However, the approaches taken to maneuver in order to gain as much knowledge as possible if the systems involved to integrate them into larger product development and therapeutic objectives are dictated by the ability to acquire data reflecting the actual nature of the situation and interpret it appropriately.
