Abstract
This chapter covers the analysis of sample surveys in the context of natural resources inventories, with a particular focus on forest inventories. Our goal is twofold: to provide coverage that is relevant to the efficient analysis of sample survey data using R, and to demonstrate the data manipulation techniques introduced in Chapter 2. We also provide scripts and commentary for the analysis of sampling designs that are commonly used in natural resource inventories.
