Abstract
Couple and family relationships add another dimension to the research and practice conducted in the financial planning and counseling fields. This chapter is dedicated to couple and family relationship assessments that have been commonly used or could be used within the personal financial planning and counseling field. Well known scales such as the Kansas Marital Satisfaction scale and the Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale can be found in this chapter. Examples of other scales found in this chapter are Attitude towards Divorce Item, Farm Family Decision Making Scale, Managerial Behavior Index, and Family Daily Hassles Inventory, Acquisition of Family Financial Roles and Responsibilities, Shared Goals and Values Scale, and Trust Scale. These instruments are intended for both practice and research.
