Abstract
In Chap. 9, I told of the high regard we physicians as a group enjoy, esteem inherited from generations of honorable and trustworthy predecessors, and largely unearned by us today. Our legacy to future physicians must be to pass on the gifts we have received, by practicing medicine in an ethical manner that inspires credibility and trust.
