Abstract
We have already pointed out that nucleic acids [1]–[3] are responsible for information storage and transfer and that they direct the synthesis of proteins. Three properties guarantee life over many periods of replication:
i) the information transfer is highly accurate [4], and
ii) self-replication and
iii) self-repair occur.
