Abstract
So far, you have used the jQuery library to accomplish various tasks. Although this book primarily focuses on the jQuery core, there are two popular libraries built on top of the jQuery core that are worth noting: jQuery UI and jQuery Mobile. jQuery UI is a JavaScript library that provides themeable widgets and effects that can be used in your web pages. jQuery Mobile is a JavaScript library intended for web applications targeting mobile phones and tablets. This chapter will give you an overview of these two libraries. Specifically you will learn the following:
