Abstract
So far, all our ActionScript has dealt with what’s going on in the present — for example, what the current frame is, or where the mouse pointer is at this moment. Of course, technology hasn’t progressed far enough to let us peer into the future — not even with Flash MX! But looking at what’s happened in the past isn’t a problem. The only reason that all our movies so far have been stuck in the present is that they have no memory.
