Abstract

I like watching things grow and change. At university they had these really unreliable S-VHS cameras, which had the added bonus that they could shoot a frame or so every few minutes. Perfect for filming the passing of time. or so I thought. but as with all cheap analogue video cameras and record button presses, tape tends to rewind itself every now and again. Ignoring this factor. I went ahead and set it up so that it ran overnight. It was set up to look out of my 3rd floor window. pointed at the green opposite. I was hoping to get a sunrise time-lapse reminiscent of those that you see in high-quality nature documentaries. True to the predictability of video and the weary old camera though, it messed up and I got a 3 second clip of night. Oh well...
