Abstract
I still remember hanging out at the air base—my father served with the 435th Tactical Airlift Wing at the Rhein-Main—where everyone had been friendly and even turned a blind eye whenever Dad would take me on the C-5 Galaxy he piloted. Not only did he pilot one of the largest aircraft in the world, but he was even decorated for his heroics in Operation Desert Storm. Despite practically growing up at the Frankfurt airport, I hate what it has become.
