Abstract
This chapter discusses Hadoop administration on a multinode cluster. You will explore the Hadoop configuration files in detail and learn how Hadoop can support multitenancy where multiple groups within an organization can utilize a single Hadoop cluster. Hadoop has various types of schedulers to support this functionality. The goal of this chapter is to enable you to appreciate the nuances of what happens on each node in the cluster when a Hadoop job executes.
