Abstract
Gestures are patterns of movement made by the user interacting with the device: tapping, double-tapping, tap-and-hold, flicking (quick linear movements in one direction), panning (dragging), pinching (multi-touch where two points are dragged together), zooming (multi-touch where two points are dragged apart), and rotating (multi-touch where two points are moved to describe a new angle).
