Abstract
This chapter builds directly upon what you learned in Chapters 2 and 3, expanding your knowledge of variables, scope, conditionals, loops and functions. However, this is really just a warm-up to what comes next: animation and interactivity, where you’ll learn to create across time. Processing is a wonderful language and environment in which to explore programmatic animation, greatly reducing many of the under-the-hood complexities. Finally, you’ll expand your artist’s toolkit and learn about creating interactive curves in Processing, which offers exciting possibilities for generating complex, organic forms.
