In the previous chapter, we dived in and showed you how to create your first ASP.NET application. It’s time to take a step back and put what we showed you in context, explaining the nature and purpose of the ASP.NET Framework. In this chapter, we give you a high-level overview of the ASP.NET Framework and describe the rest of the book.
