Abstract

This chapter takes a slightly different point of view from the previous chapters. As I explained in Chapter 1, the tools and techniques contained in this book apply to you whether you are a member of an outside consulting firm brought in to complete a specific project, a contractor brought in to take on a specific role for a predetermined time, or an internal employee working on SharePoint in the organization you work for. However, in most of the explanation and examples, I have been writing from the point of view of an outside consultant, because that is my job.

To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on stepping. —Chinese Proverb
