Abstract
This first chapter is dedicated to Arduino, one of the two cornerstones of this book. The following pages cover the basics of the Arduino hardware and software. By the end of the chapter, you will have installed the platform on your computer and you will have programmed two examples using the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE).
