Abstract
Cloud architecture is architecture written large. If cloud computing fulfills its promise, it will touch nearly every aspect of computing as we know it today, use every component of current computing technology, and inspire the development of untold new technologies. It will change the way individuals conduct their daily lives and how businesses, corporations, and government agencies execute their business. It presents an unparalleled challenge to software and hardware engineers that are comparable to putting a man on the moon or building a national electrical power grid.
