Abstract
In this chapter, I describe three useful jQuery Mobile features that are helpful when creating mobile web applications. Each feature is pretty simple, but I will be using them in the chapters that follow, so I wanted you to understand them before I start using them in examples. These features allow you to create dialogs, apply themes to your pages and elements, and lay out elements in multicolumn grids. None of these items is especially exciting on its own, but this is the kind of important plumbing that makes life easier for the mobile web developer.
