Book cover DROIDS Made Simple

Abstract

SMS stands for Short Messaging Service, and it is commonly referred to as text messaging or simply texting. Text messages are usually limited to 160 characters, and they are a great way to quickly touch base with someone without interrupting them with a voice call. Sometimes you can text someone and receive a text reply when it would be impossible or difficult to make a voice call.
