Abstract

Back in 2006, Stephen Colbert issued his first “green screen challenge” to the audience of his American TV show, The Colbert Report. After picking up a light saber and rolling about in front of a large green screen, Colbert challenged anyone in the viewing audience to see what they could do to turn his shenanigans into a polished animation. One of the entrants was WeirdHat, who, it turned out, did all his compositing in Blender (shown in Figure 9-1).
