Abstract

My interest in Computer Vision began in October 2008 after having read a paper on optical Sudoku puzzle solving.1 I was just beginning the final year of my Computer Science Tripos2 at the University of Cambridge and I had to pick a final year project. The Sudoku solver seemed perfect. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to pursue that project due to it being too specific and hard to evaluate scientifically.
