Abstract

In the previous chapters, you built some fairly useful workflows using built-in templates. Often, however, you may need some processing that will require you to build a custom workflow. In this chapter, you’ll create a custom workflow using Visio and the SharePoint Designer. This workflow will allow team members to submit a request for time off. This will generate a task for an individual to approve or request that request. Approved requests are then automatically added to the team’s calendar.
