Abstract
If you are wondering what SharePoint Workspace is, you are not alone. SharePoint Workspace is the successor to Microsoft Office Groove 2007. You say that does not help much either? Well, Groove 2007 probably should have gotten the award as the newest and least-known addition to the Microsoft Office 2007 Suite. SharePoint Workspace provides you with a personal collaboration area where you can bring together small teams from within or even outside your company. You do not even need SharePoint to use it, but you must have a version of Office that includes SharePoint Workspace. You can even invite friends and neighbors into your shared folder, your shared workspace, or even a shared SharePoint site. Depending on the type of workspace you create, you can:
-
Share documents
-
Create calendars
-
Participate in discussions
-
Create forms to manage lists
-
Track issues
-
Plan meetings
-
Share pictures
-
And more
