Pixel-Perfect Collision and Destructible Environments

Abstract

Circles, squares, and triangles are great, but for some games, they just won’t cut it. Sometimes you need to make a game with bumpy, jagged shapes—for example, for an uneven rocky landscape. And sometimes it’s fun to make a game where players can interactively destroy the game world, down to the smallest pixel. Actually, that sounds like a lot of fun!
