Abstract
Now that you know how to include the Dojo Toolkit in any of your projects, it’s finally time to start looking at its application programming interface (API). Some of the functions that are provided are not only brief alternatives, but they also contain more features than their JavaScript counterparts (such as dojo.byId vs. document.getElementById); others are new functions that were created to extend JavaScript’s functionality and solve common problems that developers came across when programming with JavaScript (such as dojo.query). Without further ado, let’s get started!
