Going the Routesy Way with Core Location, XML, and SQLite
when I began writing Routesy, an application that allows San Francisco commuters to find out when the next bus will arrive, the dream of becoming a published iPhone software developer was the last thing on my mind. By the time Apple announced the iPhone SDK, I had already integrated the iPhone into my daily routine and was no longer hauling around an iPod and a separate phone in my pocket. The SDK convinced me that the iPhone is a device with unlimited potential, and I was determined to find a way to make my iPhone even more useful. Long before I ever even imagined that I might be selling downloadable software in the App Store, I was trying to figure out how to efficiently make my phone help me find the nearest bus and tell me when it would arrive.
