Abstract
The package DBMS_SYSTEM is installed by default in Oraclei and subsequent releases. Execute permission on this package is only available to the user SYS. There are a few references to the package DBMS_SYSTEM in manuals, but it is undocumented in the Oracle9i Supplied PL/SQL Packages and Types References as well as in the Oracle Database PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference of Oracle10g Release 2 and Oracle11g Release 1.
