Abstract
Snapshot Agent is used in all three types of replication (snapshot, merge, and transactional), since the initial snapshot is essential for the synchronization between the publication and subscription databases. However, as I have mentioned, heavy network traffic can significantly affect the performance of the generation of the snapshot, which can be alleviated by having large network bandwidth.
