Abstract
Creating an excellent Joomla template is something of an art. If you’ve read Chapter 6 of Beginning Joomla!, you already know the general structure and design of a very simple template. The template created in that chapter was a barebones example that included none of the advanced functionality that has become standard in popular Joomla templates. Further, the simple template didn’t leverage the substantial features and flexibility available through the Joomla system. In this chapter you’ll learn how to make a far most robust template that is infinitely configurable and dynamically changes based on the presentation requirements.
