Abstract

We’ve focused largely on English as spoken in the United States throughout this book, owing largely to the fact that it’s the authors’ native tongue. We’ve given some brief examples of queries in other languages. SQL Server 2008 iFTS natively supports 48 languages (three additional languages are supported but disabled by default), and can support even more languages through the use of third-party filters and word breakers.
