Abstract

That slight tug in the earth’s gravitational pull you feel is William Shakespeare spinning in his grave from this mangling of Hamlet (the complete.NET version of the soliloquy is on the CD in the “Whitepapers” directory), but the question is actually more complicated than it might appear. .NET is the way to go but with its introduction comes a whole host of questions related to how .NET relates to data, what means of data access is best, and what new tools are available for interacting with your data. This chapter will try to answer some of your questions but comes with a large warning.

Dot NET, or not dot NET: That is the question.
