Abstract

There is no getting away from Extensible Markup Language (XML) in the.NET Framework. All configuration files are XML documents, ASP.NET Web Services use XML in the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), and ADO.NET datasets are based on XML. Naturally, the framework contains rich support to enable you to employ XML specifications in your own programs.
