Abstract
The WinForms classes in .NET are the equivalent of Java Foundation Classes (JFC) /Swing in Java. WinForms are not quite the equivalent of Abstract Windowing Toolkit (AWT), as WinForms bears a closer resemblance to Swing. At the end of the day, they all serve the same purpose of creating a graphical user interface (GUI) for your application.
