Abstract

We come now to composite controls, the final variety of custom Web controls covered in this sequence of three chapters. Composite controls reuse the functionality of existing controls, but add value by combining them in new ways and by adding additional logic to coordinate their operations. In these respects, composite controls resemble user controls. However, unlike user controls, composite controls are compiled and do not support fragment caching.
