User Management and Database Security

Abstract

Database security means different things to different people. The essential thing to remember, though, is that the underlying goal of database security is to prevent unauthorized use of the database or its components. Database security depends on system and network security as well, but this chapter mostly focuses on how you can provide solid security at the database level.
