Abstract

To get to tee essence of a thing you need to isolate it. You can then explore it completely as a solo instrument, before placing it back in the orchestra to see how it performs as part of the whole. Right at the very heart of ADO is the Recordset and its collection of Field objects. In a very real sense, virtually all the other ADO objects play only a supporting role—they exist solely to create and save Recordsets—so it makes sense to focus first on the star performer.
