Lindsay Finds Activities Are Always 90 Percent Complete
January 15 brought an unusual amount of excitement and happiness to the office, especially considering we had just been hit with our second big snowstorm of the year. I figured the joyful spirit was attributable to it being payday. I had heard a lot of people talking about overspending during the holidays and how they were in need of a financial shot in the arm. I, too, had spent more than I planned, and was excited to get my first paycheck as project management advisor. My promotion had brought a nice raise with it, but I wasn’t sure what my new semimonthly compensation would be after taxes. I received my paycheck and, as expected, would not be able to retire early as a result of my raise. But I was not complaining. Every little bit helped.
