Abstract

In this chapter you’ll look at how to configure Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) within JBoss. JBoss 3.x provides an EJB 2.0—compliant EJB container. Unlike some of the mainstream EJB containers that require an additional step of compiling the EJBs between packaging and deployment to generate stubs and skeletons, JBoss relies on dynamic proxies and an interceptor-based architecture to integrate the client-side and server-side artifacts of the EJB container. This means you can package and deploy your EJBs to the JBoss container without any additional EJB compilation process.
