Abstract

Message-oriented middleware (MOM) has been a vital element in integrating disparate and disconnected applications for a quite a long time. MOM systems allow participating applications to produce, consume, and exchange enterprise messages reliably. Messaging systems are based on applications delivering asynchronous events/notifications that are consumed by other applications.
