Abstract

Throughout this book, we’ve examined how to make the best use of VS .NET for developing applications. Once you’ve finished developing the application, there are just a few final hurdles to overcome before it can be used by the world at large. These hurdles all relate to publishing and maintaining this application. In particular, you need to select and group the files required for an installation into a deployment package, and then install the deployment package on production servers. You also need to find a way to configure an application for the target system.
