Abstract

The Stream object is designed for much the same purpose as the COM IStream interface, and it provides a way to read and write file contents or data streams of. Support for streams is not only available in this separate object, but also has been built into the Command and Recordset objects, allowing greater flexibility when using ADO with other technologies, such as XML and ASP.
