Abstract

We left off the development of our GWT client in Chapter 4, because we had some server-side work to do. We wanted to be able to make an RPC request to a server that would be able to give us data for the currently logged in user. To do that, we needed the authentication in Chapter 5 and database integration in Chapter 6. The sum of these two parts, plus the basic RPC setup that we did before, means that now we’re really ready to roll.
