Abstract
What this chapter covers:
-
C# and the .NET Framework
-
What is XAML
In this chapter, I am going to give an overview of the programming languages C# and XAML (Extensible Markup Language). I will not go into very much detail because I will do that later in the book in a practical “hands-on” manner. Here, I will give you a little bit of background history of the origins of each language and then explain to you in more detail how each interacts in order to create WPF applications. So with that, let’s get started and discuss the very robust language known as C# (pronounced C sharp).
