Abstract

Until now, I’ve been focusing on response techniques for dealing with the aftermath of a disaster. In this and the next three chapters, I’ll focus on techniques for mitigating disaster risks. Of course, each technique presents its own disaster scenario in which you must reset the mitigation solution. I’ll cover these situations, but I’ll focus more on how the technology helps minimize the likelihood or impact of any given disaster scenario. The first stop is log shipping.
