Abstract
You may know the workstation versions of Ubuntu as very accessible graphical desktops. This is not the case, however, for Ubuntu Server! You can’t manage a server properly without using the command line, so it’s absolutely necessary that you can find your way around the Bash interface. Once you have mastered the command line, you will find it so much more powerful and flexible that you may not miss the graphical interface at all. For command-line newbies, this chapter offers an introduction.
