Abstract
Welcome to Chapter 5, where we will lay out the cornerstones of working with databases. This chapter is an introduction to the integration with popular Java data-access frameworks provided by the Spring Framework. From the perspective of applications and their developers, we can say that data access is all the Java code and other details that come with it to create, read, update, and delete data (CRUD operations) in relational databases.
