Abstract
Flash MX 2004 introduced one of the most significant new features for animators, the JavaScript Flash (JSFL) Extension API. JSFL is a simple scripting language based on JavaScript that enables users to write scripts that automate repetitive tasks and extend the Flash tool set. By combining the power of JSFL, XML, and ActionScript, this simple extension API allows animators to create some very useful tools for improving the animation workflow in Flash.
