Abstract
You’ve been here. It’s after 10 p.m. and you get a random e-mail from your boss saying, ,We need to talk.- No additional data except for a meeting proposal that shows up 30 seconds later entitled “Re: Needing to Talk.” You sit staring at the screen, wondering what could be up. No rumors of layoffs are in the air; the company is doing fine. You can’t think of anything you've done, said, or written that merits a managerial follow-up, so what’s the deal?
