Rendering Graphical Data with GDI+

Abstract

The previous chapter introduced you to the process of building a GUI-based desktop application using System.Windows.Forms. The point of this chapter is to examine the details of rendering graphics (including stylized text and image data) onto a Form’s surface area. We’ll begin by taking a high-level look at the numerous drawing-related namespaces, and we’ll examine the role of the Paint event, and the almighty Graphics object.
