Summary
The RewriteRule directive, as the heart and soul of mod_rewrite, has an enormous number of options and, as such, can tend to be rather confusing. Using this chapter and the mod_rewrite documentation as our reference manuals, we’ll attempt throughout the rest of the book to put much of our knowledge about RewriteRule into practice, along with the various other directives which mod_rewrite offers.
