Summary
Now that you’ve looked at the new video functionality of Flash 8 in depth, it’s up to you to decide where you would like to take it. This chapter was big, but it still only scratched the surface of all the things possible with Flash 8 video. To fully cover all of the video functionality and the creative possibilities, you would need an entire book—this is something in the works, so watch the friends of ED space in 2006!
You’ve learned that you can run things through the FLVPlayback component—this is good if you’ve got entire videos you want to show in a television-type format. You’ve also seen that video can be imported directly into the library and used in different situations, such as games—especially when the alpha channel is employed.
